Build Your Modern Day Village so You Don’t Text Your Mom 87 Times a Day
Welcoming a new baby is a profound life transition that deserves knowledgeable, compassionate support. As a trained postpartum doula and fellow mama, I provide expert care tailored to meet the physical, emotional, and practical needs of new parents. From newborn care guidance to maternal wellness and household support, my services are designed to help your family thrive during the early weeks at home.
Meet Your Doula
Hello and welcome, Mama!
I’m so glad you’re here. I’m Holly, a trained Postpartum Doula with DONA International, a proud mama, and founder of Orange County Postpartum Doula. Becoming a parent rocked my world in every possible way. It was beautiful, messy, emotional, and sometimes felt like a strange combination of a dream and a hostage situation. That wild ride is exactly what inspired me to support other families through this sacred, chaotic, and transformative chapter.
At the heart of my practice is a love for nurturing families. I know what it feels like to crave reassurance, someone to answer your 3 AM questions (no, you’re not doing it wrong), and to just feel seen in the foggy blur of new parenthood. My goal is to be that steady, calming presence so you can breathe, feel human again, bond with your baby, and maybe even sneak in a nap!
I offer evidence-based practices rooted in the latest research around newborn care, lactation, sleep, and postpartum recovery. I also believe in a holistic approach, caring for your emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being alongside the physical. Whether you need nourishing meals prepared, swaddling support that doesn’t end in tears (yours or the baby’s) or simply someone to sit beside you during those ‘I have no idea what I’m doing’ moments, I’m here for all of it. We’ll laugh, cry, and probably talk a lot about bodily fluids. It’s all part of the magic.
It’s an honor to be invited into your postpartum journey. I’m genuinely excited to support you, cheer you on, and remind you that you’re already an incredible mom.
Because every mama deserves a hype squad and a nap,
Holly Kimbell

Questions & Answers
What do your services include?
I assist with a wide range of physical, emotional, and practical needs. I provide newborn care support, including help with diapering, swaddling, bathing, soothing, and feeding. For breastfeeding parents, I offer hands-on guidance with latching, positioning, and troubleshooting common challenges, while also supporting non-breastfeeding parents with formula preparation and feeding routines. I help establish healthy sleep habits and help parents understand newborn sleep patterns. I also provide crucial emotional support by listening without judgment, validating your experiences, and watching for signs of postpartum mood disorders. I also encourage rest and recovery by caring for the baby so parents can sleep or shower. Furthermore, I will assist in handling light household tasks like preparing meals, folding laundry, tidying up, and keeping feeding stations stocked. I aim to support the whole family unit, helping partners feel involved and confident, offering sibling support if there are older children, and helping set up daily routines that reduce stress and promote confidence. Overall, my goal is to bring calm, reassurance, and practical help to ease the transition into life with a new family member.
Why are the hours 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM?
In the early weeks after birth, sleepless nights are part of the journey. That’s why I arrive at 7:00 AM, ready to care for your newborn so you can catch up on much-needed rest. These morning hours are a gentle reset, giving you the chance to recharge while I help set a calm, organized tone for the day ahead. My goal is to make sure you start the day feeling supported, refreshed, and one step closer to feeling like yourself again.
Are you available for overnight care?
Overnight infant care will be available at an additional charge to parents that have purchased a package. Overnight care starts at $60/hour.
Do you have a la carte hours?
I will be available for additional hours to parents that have previously purchased a package, but am not offering individual hourly services at this time.
Do you serve families who have chosen adoption?
Absolutely! Adoption is one of the most beautiful ways to create a family. I was adopted at birth as well, so I can provide some helpful insight.
Do you serve families with twins or triplets?
Yes! I joyfully support families with twins and am well equipped to care for multiple newborns with calm, confidence, and plenty of hands-on experience.
What if you get sick?
The health and safety of your newborn is top priority. If I have symptoms of any illness I will send my backup doula, who is also DONA certified and a mama.
Are you CPR Certified?
Yes, I hold a current Infant CPR/First Aid/AED certification with American Red Cross and renew it regularly to maintain the highest safety standards.
What is the difference between being DONA trained versus DONA certified?
Being DONA trained means I’ve completed all requirements to be a DONA certified doula, and my application is officially on its way! It can take up to twelve weeks to process, so once I get the green light, I’ll be celebrating my hard work with a happy dance and maybe a margarita!
